The session begins with the exploration of applications in GeoGebra intended to explore the variation of parameters of the general equation of the conics in order to obtain ellipses, parabolas and hyperboles and the use of these curves in real contexts.
The second part of the session is devoted to the exploration of three-dimensional applications that illustrate the generation of surfaces by lines. It stands out the case of the hyperboloid of one leaf that can be obtained by the rotation of a straight line.
The session ends with the exploration of an application that allows the three-dimensional generation of surfaces by rotating lines that are graphs of functions chosen by the users.
